Hi everyone!! Landon's been born and I'm doing very well. Needless to say, I've had VERY little sleep and am currently getting used to taking care of this bundle of joy.
17 hours of labor and 1 and a half hours of pushing before they had to do an emergency c-section to get this little bugger (aka my angel, the love of my life) out. Or should I say LARGE bugger (aka my angel, love of my life). LOL He was 9 lbs, 2 ounces and 21 inches long.
And now the moment everyone's been waiting for.... *drum role please*.... Landon's Birthday is.... June 20th (born at 12:39am) Congrats to Brandi from Oh-Blondie.org!
It's bed time now. Landon will be up in about 3 or 4 hours wanting to eat once again so I'm off to catch some zzzz till then. :)
I just wanted to let you all know that I'm still here. LOL I'm due in 2 days. So far, I've been having contractions since Thursday night (June 12th) and have dilated to 2cm. Then the dilation stopped... but not the contractions. They tried to induce me on Friday (so close Britney, I thought you were going to win the game) but to no avail, I stayed at 2cm. Saturday the doctor's released me in hopes that a regular environment and activity might push the dilation along. I'm in some pain but the contractions are still bearable as of yet. Yesterday I went for acupuncture to help along the labor. I figured it can't hurt to try, nothing else is working. A couple of hours later I lost my "mucus plug" and got my "bloody show". This morning the contractions are feeling a bit more intense. I'm hopping I've now passed the 2cm mark but I won't find out till tomorrow at my follow up or if the contractions get so bad and I am forced to go back to the hospital today. Wish me luck!
And oh, the full moon falls on my due date. Maybe that will also help this along. We can always hope!

I've been keeping busy these days, trying not to think about the pregnancy and my due date. I know what you're thinking, easier said than done. This is true, there is little going on in my life at this point that doesn't have anything to do with this baby. So, needless to say Landon wasn't born on his Daddy's B-day:( Hubby was a bit disappointed yesterday but what can you do?? Landon has a mind of his own.
I thought I'd make a friendly game out of the rest of this pregnancy. Lets get a little contest going. Each of you choose a date in June that you think Landon will join the world. The person who gets it right (or is the closest) will have their blog or other site of their making) promoted on Undecided-fate.org and MickBethSource.com, our two most popular websites within our network.
Alright, so the contest begins today (June 5th) and closes when I announce when the baby has arrived. Lets try to choose a date that someone else hasn't already picked, k guys? Makes it a bit more interesting that way.
Let the games begin! FYI for everyone, MY DUE DATE IS JUNE 19th.
(At least this will keep me occupied for the next couple of weeks. LOL)
According to my due date, I have 23 more days left till I get to meet Landon. I know the doctor has been saying that he will be coming early, but as the days continue to pass, I've come to accept that Landon doesn't seem to agree. It just has to be said at this point that I am sooo incredibly uncomfortable and ready to not be pregnant anymore.
I'm still having contractions every days, but they don't appear to be bringing on the labor yet. It's actually pretty frustrating because up until a couple of days ago I wasn't getting ANY sleep either. But Hubby and I went out and bought a queen sized air-bed that We've set up in our room so I still get to sleep close to hubby. It's SOOOOO comfortable and I'm so happy I decided to get it. Our bed is soft but firm, which is normally great but sleeping on my side on that firm bed is causing my newly expanding hips to seriously ACHE! (Sleeping on your side is essential when pregnant) I was desperate, so I decided to try an air-bed (Something like and air mattress, but off of the ground like a bed. You can view a picture of it HERE) I'm really glad I spent the money for this bed. And the best part is I have it all to myself! LOL Now I'm sleeping, which in turn is making me a hell of a lot less cranky and that makes Hubby a lot less cranky too. all in all, I think the bed was a good investment. :)
Oh by the way, since Landon's hanging in there longer than the doctors thought, I'm crossing my fingers now that he waits till June 4th. That's Hubby's birthday and it would be so awesome if he would be born on his daddy's birthday, wouldn't it??

This is going to be a short post. I've been having contractions for 3 days now and currently they are barely making my cervix dilate. This is probably due to the fact that I'm still 5 weeks early. So, I was given the option to stay in the hospital or i could go home (on bed rest) and try my best to put off the labor till Thursday (When I will hit my 36 week mark). So far so good, the contractions are constant and regular but they are not getting stronger, nor has my water broken, nor have i lost my "plug" as they call it. As long as everything stays this way I'll be good till Thursday. But if I feel ANY change or discomfort I gotta take off to the hospital ASAP.
Anyways, my feet need to be up and i need to RELAX so I'll be logging off the computer for now. I just wanted to keep you guys up to date. It could happen any time now!! So scared and so excited!
