Yeah it is a bit of a premature title but Hubby figured that since I've been carrying our precious baby for the past 8 months in my body I deserved a little gift (a DQ Mother's Day Cake!) to show his appreciation for what I'm doing. Can you say "awwwwww"?? I tell you he certainly has his moments. :)
Thanks to everyone who made comments on the last posts. I feel a lot better in knowing that all of you enjoy my posts about the baby. It makes me really happy cause I love writing about it :) Now that being said....
In recent news, I've become VERY tired lately and have been finding it difficult to even get out of bed. I just can't seem to get enough sleep. I feel like I have a bad case of mono. But alas, it is in fact the 3rd trimester of pregnancy. LOL
I went to what they call a Biophysical Profile this past Friday. What this is, basically, is a SUPER-DUPER in depth ultrasound that registers pretty well everything going on in my belly. She checked for contractions, the baby's heart beat, movement, the amount of strength he uses for movement, his organ and lung development, if he's strengthening his lungs with his "fake breathing" (I say fake breathing cause his lungs will be full of water until he is born so he's not really breathing, just doing the actions of breathing). She also checked the sex once again (always good to double check... it's a boy, Whew! :P) and last but not least she can approximate a current weight based on length and width measurements of the torso. Apparently, according to the Doctor's calculations, Landon is already approximately 6 LBS and I'm only 34 weeks!
At 33 weeks on the button my baby dropped into the birthing position. This means he's locked in and ready to bast off. LOL However, 33 weeks if far too early to be allowing him to blast off. When I went for the biophysical, the doctor told me she wants me to take it VERY easy these next two weeks because, although Landon is totally ready to come out, and all his organs are fully developed, She wants him to be able to strengthen his lungs and gain a bit more weight for at least another 2 weeks.
So, what this means is, I gotta be very non-active these next couple of weeks. once I hit 36 weeks, however, I've been given the a-ok for spicy food, bumpy drives, long walks, and as much sex as I want. (hahahah Silly woman, I can't possibly move enough with this belly to be able to have any sexuals!)
In any case, just because The doc says Landon is good to join us as early as 2 weeks from now, it doesn't mean that he will be thinking the same thing.LOL In the end, it's all up to him. So we'll just have to wait and see what he decided to do. :)
I know Landon's arival is all I ever talk about. My apologies to those who are getting sick of the entries. I've racked my brain on numerous occasions about what I could come up with to write that would be interesting for you guys to read but then I realized that this is pretty well ALL that is going on in my life right now and this is MY journal so I'm going to write about what's on my mind. LOL... And currently, what's on my mind is getting ready for when the baby arrives. So without further adieu....

Well the Shower is finished and I am played out. I can't believe I now have to go through all the gifts and get them put away LOL. I'm so sorry that I've been MIA this past week, I've been swamped with preparations and have been told recently by the doctor that it's possible I might give birth as early as 4 weeks from now! Talk about panic when I heard that! I don't feel ready enough. But I guess, as they say, you can never really be ready.
Here's a picture of one of my piles of gifts. Hehe
Lately, I've been doing two important things to prepare. 1st is putting together a list of things to pack for my hospital stay and getting that bag all ready for me for when the time comes. The 2nd is trying to determine what it is I still need for when the baby comes home. So far, I've come up with a few things such as a changing table/dresser for the nursery, a baby monitor, Newborn Diapers, more receiving blankets, baby laundry soap, nursing pads, a pacifier, and a bottle or two (in case breastfeeding doesn't work out). Bottles are unfortunately VERY hard to find right now due to a MASSIVE situation with toxic plastic being used to make the bottles. There's been a crazy number of recalls and the shelves are currently bare. I'll keep my eyes opened for some glass ones... that's really all I can do isn't it?
It won't be long guys, before I have the crib and nursery all set up! I can't wait to snap some photos of that to share with all of you. Hubby and I put A LOT of work into painting the room and now we just have to add the finishing touches. I'll get that on here as soon as it's all together.
